The European Bisons

We had this interesting encounter last year in the San River Valley in The Bieszczady Mountains. We were very lucky to see them, since there's only one herd in wild there! On the one hand I was excited and tried to come as close as possible, but on the other hand, I was a bit terrified. As you can see they are pretty big!

Our bison are out west. Any in this province are farm bison. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River ,Canada. PS Boomer says hello again.

Must have been exciting to see them. They look very much like our bison/buffalo. We saw some in Colorado last fall. And there is a small herd in The Villages. Can you believe that?

I was told yesterday by a friend that the meat is very tender and very tasty.

Lois Anne, being a vegetarian, disagreed! :))

Very cool! Yeah, in the wild, I wouldn't get too close either! I got close to a herd of buffalo last year, but a giant gate separated us!
