House Sparrows



They waited, looked round and then they flew away. Piotr took these photos few days ago near our home. For more birds please visit World Birds Wednesday

Beautiful birds to see at the moment all gathering in numbers here on top of hedges at the moment Imanaged a couple of video clips at the weekend I hope to share soon.
Little brown jobs they may be but I love them...

Lots of house sparrows there. They are considered a nuisance where I live but some people still like them.

That's quite a flock.
Their numbers are falling unfortunately, in parts of the UK.

I like the last shot with them all flying off, great capture. There are plenty of houses sparrows here too.

If they're house sparrows, why aren't they in the house? ;-) I've heard of barn sparrows before...but...

House sparrows may be common but they are not at all easy to capture except in in an outdoor restaurant where they rely on scraps.
