Coot
I can watch these funny fellows for hours and always admire their big feet. These photos were taken at the beginning of February in Rugen. For more birds visithttp://pineriverreview.blogspot.com/

I'm really glad you posted these photos 'cause people have often called me an "old coot" and I never knew what they meant. Now I see I'm quite a handsome bird if a little heavy around the middle!

I love them too. Everything about them ... from head to (big) feet makes me smile! Even their name is kind of silly!

Very common sight over here. Those feet are just the ticket for 'ice walking'.
