He certainly looks like he is surveying his territory up there. :) The vibrant blue sky is the perfect background for his iridescent feathers that are stunning in the sunlight. Terrific shots!
Starlings are interesting and clever birds, though I was not happy when they found their way into our cooking range vent and set up housekeeping in the ceiling of our kitchen!

We have starlings living in our yard too. They love to sit on the roof and look down on whayever is going on just like the bird in thee photos. :)
