Birds and the city

Sometimes you don't have to leave the city to find pretty interesting birds. These were found in Amsterdam.

Oh, how wonderful, number 2 is delighted, an Egyptian Geese and the "Parakeets" I think, and grooming itself .

Nice photos! The birds in the last photo, what are those? Such long tails!

Superb! I knew the birds in the first photo, but will have to rely on Bob for info on #2 and #3 photos. Egyptian Geese? They are quite beautiful, but I don't think I've ever seen them again. The birds in the third shot look too big for parakeets, but what do I know. Nuttin!

It seems green parakeets are thriving all over Europe now. I understand why they are here, but in places than can be so cold like London (where they are by the hundreds) or Amsterdam is amazing.
