This blog is a result of the many hours spent on watching
nature. The photos here were taken by my husband, Piotr, and me during our trips.
Hope you'll enjoy!

Pelcan

Last summer in Danube Delta, I didn't manage to take their photos in wild, because my camera broke down. These photos were taken one week ago in Zoo in Opole. Well, no the same, but at least this one seemded to pose with a pleasure!

They're the same kind of birds, though. Sorry about your camera. That must have been frustrating...

We have brown pelicans here. They were almost extinct because of the use of DDT back in the 60s. Since DDT has been banned, they've made a big comeback. But I think we need some white ones for added color.

I need to correct myself. Evidently, we do have some white pelicans in these parts, but they are relatively rare.

I always think it's so funny when pelicans lift and separate their wings that way. I guess they are drying their feathers in the sun. They're such fun birds.
